Sigit Riyanto, SH., LLM.

Mr. Sigit Riyanto is is the the Head of the of division of Dispute Settlement Mechanism division and a researcher at the CICODS, Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He has been educated as lawyer at the Universitas Gadjah Mada, the University of Nottingham (UK) and Graduate Institute of International Studies ( Geneva, Switzerland). He teaches Public International Law, the Law of International Organization, International Economic Law and Refugee Law at Undergraduate Level. He is also a fellow at the Center for Security and Peace Studies (CSPS) and visiting lecturer for several universities such as: University of Indonesia , State University of Surakarta, Padjadjaran University, Immigration Academy Jakarta, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS, Seoul- Korea). He has been working as Protection Officer at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) 2002-2005; Legal Counsel for the Wealth Health Organisation ( WHO) 2000- 2002; and Legal Adviser for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) 1999-2001. He is a resources person on Human Rights and Refugee issues for the National Commission on Human Rights (KOMNAS HAM), National Police and other Governmental Institutions.
